Non-Invasive Fat Removal and Body Contouring
It is well known that a body at rest that contains more muscle than fat, burns more calories than a body at rest with more fat than muscle. Your muscle to fat ratio should always be more muscle to fat to keep your fat burning engine running. The problem is that, as we age muscle mass decreases, therefore metabolism slows resulting in more fat storage. It is about in our mid-thirties that we start to notice that we cannot eat as badly on the weekends and then burn it off during the week. Those weekends binges of drinking and late night snacking are starting to show.
As we age our body contours tend to morph into something different than it once was. Instead of that nice lean torso and toned legs we may develop a pear shape or rounded mid section. There are many life style changes in diet that can alleviate weight gain and help us lose those added inches. Exercising daily and elevating our heart rate for at least 30 minutes, at least three times per week is a great lifestyle goal. Fat burners work for some people and antioxidants are always a great idea. But for some there are areas that just won’t budge. You can call it “stuck fat”, pockets or areas of fat that are the hardest to lose no matter how well you eat or how much you diet.
For those areas laser liposuction might be able to help. If you are in good health and only have about 10 pounds of fat to lose in certain areas you could be a great candidate. Laser assisted sugery is unlike traditional liposuction in that it is doesn’t involve as much risk of infection and blood loss. The procedure is done on an outpatient basis, in a doctor’s office with local anesthesia for the treated area. A tiny hollowed out needle equipped with a laser is inserted under the skin.
The laser melts the fat into liquid form and the hollowed out needle, called a cannula, suctions out the liquidized at. The procedure is gentle therefore bruising is almost always non existent. The lidocaine in the numbing agent restricts blood vessels making the surgery virtually bloodless. Because the incisions are so extremely tiny, they do not require stitches and there is little to no risk o infection.
Recovery time with this type of surgery is quick, with only two days of recommended light to moderate activity. The patient is required to wear a compression garment for three straight days including nights, but the garment is concealable unless the surgery was on the face. Some areas require a compression garment to be worn 8 hours per day after the first initial three days, for the following 2 weeks to keep areas from swelling.
Smart Lipo or Laser lipo is safer, easier, and produces more beautiful results than ever before.
