Stress comes from many different sources that usually revolve around anxiety and depression. It is visible in an employee who could no longer keep up with the demands of his boss; or in a student who strives to be at top of the class; or in a mother who does all the cleaning in the house while taking care of three toddlers. No matter which direction you face, stress seems to be everywhere.

There are several ways to deal with stress. A wide variety of solutions can be attempted, depending on what works best for you. Did you know that you could live a stress-free life without having to spend a dime on counseling fees or for a stress management course? Yes, the most effective way for relieving us form life’s daily strains and pressures is easily achievable by meditation.

Meditation is a type of psychological discipline that gives a practitioner a chance to overlook his current mental state and see the state beyond his normal thinking. Simply put, meditation is forgetting one’s actual condition, that which is shrouded with stress, to give way for a relaxing state of mind. Meditation can be done in many ways, as contrary to what many know. The idea of meditation to most people circles around images of yoga like positions. Although this may be true, there are various ways to meditate.

Walking

The seat of meditation is not on one’s position but on one’s mental state. Meditation can be done in whatever position a practitioner prefers. One of the more famous alternative positions for meditation is walking. While one walks, he is still able to leave his current state of mind and go into a peaceful one that could relieve him of the stress he is encountering in his normal conscious world.

Eating

Meditating while eating proves effective for some people as well. This is again to emphasize that although the surroundings play an important role to one’s meditation, it is not the sole basis for the practitioner’s successful session.

Scanning a specific part of the body

Body scan involves meditation by merely focusing on a specific part of the practitioner’s body; it can be his knee, his toe, his finger, etc. Many are using this most common meditation practice.

Since meditation means temporarily leaving the present, complete concentration is required of a practitioner. To attain total concentration, the following must be observed:

1. A positive attitude to withstand distracting elements like thoughts of current stressful conditions.

2. A quiet and peaceful environment, which will not distract you from concentrating.

3. A position that you will be most comfortable in since meditation may take longer than what you expect.

4. A focal point (for body scan type of meditation or for stationary meditation) where your vision will rest during the entire duration of the process.

These things can all be accomplished in the comfort of your home, while the children are out for school or while the toddlers are asleep for their afternoon nap. You can even meditate in your own bedroom, or in the comfort of your garden or office. Meditation will assure you a stress free day, which gives way for rejuvenated energy just before another stress battle begins.

Naproxen Sodium or INN is characteristically a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or NSAID which is mostly used to alleviate mild to moderate pain, fever, inflammation and stiffness brought on by conditions inclusive of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, menstrual cramps, tendinitis, bursitis, and the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. It functions by inhibiting both the COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes. Naproxen and naproxen sodium are marketed and sold under several trade names which are inclusive of Aleve, Anaprox, Antalgin, Feminax Ultra, Flanax, Inza, Miranax, Naprelan, Naprogesic, Naprosyn, Narocin, Proxen, Synflex, Xenobid.

Naproxen was, in its begining phase, marketed as the prescription drug Naprosyn in the year 1976, and naproxen sodium was initially marketed under the trade name Anaprox in 1980. It is still sold as a prescription-only drug in many places across the globe. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration or FDA for short approved the utilize of naproxen sodium as an over-the-counter medication in 1994. Over the counter preparations are retailed under the trade name Aleve.

In Australia, packets of 275 mg tablets of naproxen sodium are categorized as Schedule 2 Pharmacy Medicines, with a maximum daily dosage of 5 tablets/1375 mg. In the United Kingdom, 250 mg tablets of naproxen were approved for over the counter sale under the brand name Feminax Ultra in 2008, for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhoea in women between the ages of 15 to 50. Aleve became available over-the-counter in many provinces in Canada on July 14, 2009 excluding British Columbia, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Naproxen is a constituent of the 2-arylpropionic acid (profen) family of NSAIDs. The base acid is an odorless, white to off-white crystalline substance. It is lipid-soluble and mostly insoluble in water. It has a melting point of 153 degrees C.

IP110 Naproxen Tablets: Prefer other NSAIDs, naproxen can block the excretion of sodium and lithium. People who take lithium supplements must be extremely cautious when taking Naproxen. Naproxen is also not ideal for utilize with NSAIDs of the salicylate family (Aspirin) both drugs may possibly reduce each other’s efficacy or along with anticoagulants which may increase risk of bleeding. Naproxen preparations that contain sodium e.g., Anaprox, Aleve, etc. are not generally administered to patients with sodium-sensitive hypertension, as a result of a potential adverse effect on blood pressure in this small group of hypertensive patients.

In August 2006, the Journal Birth Defects Research Part B published results that demonstrated that pregnant women who take NSAIDs including naproxen in the first trimester of pregnancy are at an increased risk of having a child with some form of congenital birth defects, specifically heart abnormalities.

For people who are into meditation, one of the most crucial factors for them to do the practice properly is to hear some meditation music. Depending on the form of meditation you are practicing, meditation music plays a very big role in achieving the success in any meditation session.

What is meditation music should be

People who have been practicing meditation for so long would definitely agree that the hardest thing to fight off during meditation is chatters or babblers. This is because this tiny sound can penetrate the mind and distract it from whatever it has been doing.

To be able to avoid the distraction brought by this simple sound, they have found a way to fight it off using meditation music. Of all the many kinds of music out there, people-specially those who are just beginning are having a hard time choosing which one would suit the practice.

Here are some guidelines in choosing the meditation music for you:

1. Make sure that it doesn’t have lyrics. In choosing meditation music, it is always best to choose music that has no lyrics because it can only distract your concentration. If you find plain rhythm boring, try to play something that has lyrics that your don’t understand so you don’t have to think what the song is saying. Aside from distracting your thoughts through the words you understand, music with lyrics will also encourage you to sing along which will totally shatter your concentration.

2. Relaxing music with soft rhythm is always advisable. For starters, this type of music will do you good because it will help you clear your mind and focus on something. But, if you are already in a higher level of meditation, you can choose music that have faster rhythm and beats or anything that your truly enjoy because this can no longer distract you.

3. Try to experiment. Although soft and relaxing music is always advisable, try to play other types of music. Who knows? You might find better concentration of you play something that you truly enjoy.

4. Simple and soothing music is sure to focus your attention. If you don’t have the luxury of time to experiment on types of music to be played during meditation, then try surefire hits, which are simple and soothing music. Some of these may include classical sounds, sounds from the nature such as clapping of thunder, sounds of big waves, sounds of insects, and the wind. Other alternative options may also include simple instruments including tibetan singing bowl, flute, sitar, and tamboura which are known to have meditative inducing qualities.

When choosing meditation music, it is very important to keep in mind that the type you should play must induce you to deep concentration and not into deep sleep. If you are the type who practices mediation in just one place, then it is best if you play the same meditation music all over again. But if you are the type who changes places, then it is best to bring along several types of medication music to help you adjust to the place.

You can download the meditation music that you like from various meditation sites in the Internet and burn in a CD. But if you burn have a portable MP3 player, it is best to upload the music there so you can listen to it anytime you want to practice meditation.
