Well, these are truly the best top of the top gloves.
a b bit warm, not a lot air going inside, but excellent quality.
I bought this Large size, and was very disappointed to find out
i'm XL...
I never have thought to check in their site with see if the
size would fit me, because all my current gloves are Large and fits good.
Their definition of Large isn't exactly what you would expect, so
measure your hands before you order! (there's a guide in their website). |
Great gloves!

I am very satisfied with this product.
These are my first gloves with extended finger length, which I find now as a big plus especially when doing wrist curls. Wrist wrap works great for me with weak wrists. Padding is very good as well, without it interfering with normal hand fold. I read some reviews commenting on how uncomfortably warm they would get when used; I personally have not felt it; what I do agree with is that taking gloves off is not easy. I found that pulling fingers out first is the less difficult way. I actually wanted to buy the newer model which allows for machine wash, but Amazon did not have L size in stock.
These minor details do not demerit the 5 star rating though. |

| I work out 3-5 times a weeks, both machine and free weight. I'm not a heavy lifter. Usually, 10 reps (or close to that until failure), 3 sets per excercise. Just make sure you get the right size. Control and grip is perfect for me. I don't have excessive sweaty palms so no issue here. |

| Great gloves. I'm not a heavy lifter, but use my gloves on average 3 times a week and these have held up great for about a year. I recently ordered a second pair from Amazon as the others were starting to wear out, but they held up a lot longer than other gloves I've used. The wrist strap gives extra support and I can't imagine lifting with out it now. Great gloves. |

| I'm on my second pair (eventually you are going to tear them up depending on how hard you work out). Once I'm through these I'll buy them again, I have some wrist problems and these really help out a lot. The way the wrap is incorporated into the glove, IMHO, makes them more effective than just using a wrap. |

| I've had these gloves for about a year now working out 5 times a day and they work great. The only complaint that I have is that they are a little thick so holding on to heavier dumb bells for shrugs or holding on to the bar for deadlift is harder than without them. But I guess that's what straps are for! Other than that, they are very comfortable for any "Pushing" motion and the support on the wrist is very good. |

I have used other Harbinger gloves and also cheaper clones. I would have to say this is the most supported and comfortable ones I have used. The overall quality is very good and the fit and feel are superb. It has a nice snug fit feel in the palm area and knuckles. The wrist strap help tremendously with stability holding heavy weights.
I work out about 4-5 days a week and these have been quite comfortable. My only nag about this, is the straps are long and not easy to store. (very minor and silly complaint). |

| One of the guys in the local gym had a pair for the last three years and during that period, I have been through two pairs of weight-lifting gloves. Decided to purchase a pair under his recommendation. Excellent fit and finish. Enough padding and support to give you comfort and confidence to lift the weights and definitely not bulky to give that vague feeling. The price was very good for the quality received. Definitely recommend to casual and serious weight trainers. |

I'm cheap when it comes to buying certain things and to pay $26 for a pair of training gloves was a bit much for me. However I was tired of the cheap gloves that I had purchased allowing callus to form on my hands. When one of the guys that I work out with showed me his pair of Harbinger Training Gloves I was like, "those are nice but you paid how much?" Well I broke down and bought a pair and I'm so happy I did. They fit nice and snug with enough padding that I don't feel the weight bar or pull up bar when I'm working out. Also I have not had any peeling skin on my hands since using them.
They are well...more than well...worth the money. |

Well lets see, I gave this product 5 stars for a few reasons:
-It is padded on the palm, and on the first joint part of your hand.
-It fits nicely on my hand, I measured my hand to be 8.5 inches, and this medium sized glove for guys worked great! I'm glad I didn't follow the chart, and order the large glove.
-The material has a thick stitch to it, so your hands can breath, and you don't feel like your wearing sweaty rubber gloves.
-The gloves are stitched in such a way that it reduces wrist movement, this helps a lot with soreness when trying to level yourself with heavier weights.
My only complaint! Is that when doing pull ups with these gloves, the edges can scrap against your hand, but it still feels easier than without wearing gloves. |

| I have bought two pairs of these gloves. The first pair just started stinking too bad...but thats no fault of the glove and bound to happen on any glove like this. my logic now is that i buy a pair of gloves and expect them to last 6 months because i either loose them or they start smelling. These gloves are very comfortable and the wrist supports are perfect. I bench ~350 and military press 225 so i do use some heavy weight on them and they always feel comfortable. |
THE BEST gloves EVER
|
| Review Date: May 21, 2009 |
| Reviewer: Michael Outeiral, Kearny, NJ USA |
I simply cannot believe how great these gloves are!
I was sitting in my living room, and I felt something..something powerful. I looked out of my window and saw the USPS guy walking towards my house with a box in his hand, and it was then I realized that it was the gloves, and they were certainly something else...something divine.
I tore the box open, and in the process, got a pretty nasty cardboard cut on my right index finger. It actually hurt quite a bit, but as soon as I put these babies on, the cut was gone, and instead of feeling mild pain, I actually felt euphoria.
Something was peculiarly different. I felt so...strong, even though I just started weightlifting days before receiving these. I didn't want to stall any longer, so I made my way to the gym where I planned to show these off to all those beefy jerks.
When I walked into the gym, everyone stopped what they were doing (one guy even dropped the bar on his neck when he was benching and had to be rushed to the ER). As I made my way through, everyone stood aside, speechless and staring in awe.
I lay on a bench pressing bench and attempted to bench whatever weight was already on the bar without looking, confident in myself. It was effortless, and a little embarassed, I looked, expecting to see no weights on the bar at all. How wrong I was! There were 135.5 pounds on each side!
I have never taken them off since, and I find that they are so comfortable (they weren't kidding in the description when they emphasized how comfortable they are).
My life has really taken a turn for the best. I bought a scratchoff and won 10,000 dollars instantly wearing these gloves. My car ran out of gas, but went on for 25 more miles to the next gas station because I was wearing these gloves. Someone tried to spit on me, and the spit deflected right before my eyes and hit the lady that was walking next to me. And lastly, thanks to these gloves, I am able to slam dunk on a regulation-sized basketball hoop (I'm 4'9").
I definitely recommend these to everyone!
The only issue I have is that when I look into a mirror, I don't see my own reflection, I see Bruce Lee staring back. I realize this may be appreciated by most others, but I have a phobia towards orientals, so it scares me a little, but then the same security of the gloves makes me feel much better. |

Superior Quality with Excessive Padding
|
| Review Date: November 12, 2006 |
| Reviewer: P. Scott Pope, Chicago, IL |
The suitability of these gloves depends on what type of lifting you enjoy. With padding on the palm and fingers, your entire gripping surface is cushioned. Such padding is common on bicycling gloves where hours of continuous pressure and vibration can cause numbness and pain. Yet, most serious lifters would probably forgo comfort for better control provided by unpadded gloves.
Traditional weight lifting gloves are made from durable but supple leather to prevent calluses and improve grip. The latter becomes critically important when perspiring. In my experience, having no padding is best - especially when lifting heavier weight. Basically, the compliance of the padding reduces your level of control. At the same time, there is an undesirable absorption of energy, albeit a miniscule amount.
The quality of the materials and construction of the Harbinger 1250 gloves is the best I have seen. Clearly, the expense in making these gloves is significantly higher than in other products I have owned by Nike and Gold's. Unfortunately, the generous use of thick split leather and padding provides insulation that causes excessive heat buildup. With heat comes sweat. I find myself taking these gloves off multiple times during my workout to let the sweat evaporate. It would be nice if there were perforations or large vents on the back to mitigate this problem.
While these gloves might be ideal for certain lifters who prefer comfort over control, I would counsel gym rats to purchase other gloves with less or no padding. Kudos to Harbinger for making a quality product, but these gloves aren't for everyone.
Pros
Superior materials
Excellent double stitching
Comfortable wrist wrap
Cons
Expensive
Excessive padding
No perforations to dissipate heat and perspiration
|
An overall good product

| Review Date: March 26, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Online Shopping Pro, Lawrenceville, Georgia United States |
The gloves have a tight, solid feel, and are made of good materials. The manufacturer describes a new feature, "Innovative curved finger design that offers a natural, flexible and comfortable fit". That sounds good, but does not add any real comfort to the glove. You still have the excess padding when making a fist that makes it more difficult to grab the bar.
Pros:
Solid feel; good padding; good materials, overall design and craftsmanship; the "No Sweat" wicking system seems to work and there is no dark residue left on the hands after the workout, which is not the case with most manufacturers using cheaper materials.
Cons:
Excess inner padding affecting the grip; no "easy-off" feature offered by many other manufacturers; a wrist wrap that takes some tweaking to be comfortable. |
Extremely comfortable but they don't last!
|
| Review Date: July 25, 2009 |
| Reviewer: maskedgamer, |
I've bene using these gloves for about a year. Compaired to other gloves these aren't exactly cheap so I expected them to last. They feel tight and stiff at first but once you break them in they are great. They have provided me with the best comfort I've ever felt in a lifting glove. They have nice thick straps for excellent lifting support. I haven't felt my wrist ache from lifting in a long time. My old Valeo gloves were so bad I used to wrap my wrist in ace durring workouts and on off days. These seemed to cure the simple issue. The padding is pretty thick so sometimes griping the bar doesn't feel so "natural" you have to work around the padding from time to time. It's not necessarily a bad thing since the gloves are doing their job, but if you like gloves that give you that "raw" feeling these aren't them. I workout about 4 days a weak. Moderate lifting sometimes heavy. When lifting heavy weight I have noticed that the gloves tend to cost you your grip. Sometimes I ever take them off to get a better hold on the bar. These are good if your doing bench presses, shrugs under 100lbs, pulldowns, hammerstrength machines etc. For hard serious lifting I'm still up in the air. They will keep your palms safe, but the gripfactor can be a pain. To clear everything up when I say grip I mean your "grip form." The gloves themselves stick to everything so bar slip isn't something you need worry about.
My only real problem with these gloves is that they are falling apart on me. The inner portion has holes in the center of the palm portion and holes all along the finger portions. I can see the insulation starting to come out...not very good at all. Kinda dissapointed me. I would buy these gloves again, they seem to feel great so it's worth it but I only wished they lasted longer. |

The gloves run a bit small so I had to order another set from Med to Lg. These gloves you can tell were built to last. Very well made and easy to clean. These gloves do not shrink like others I've had. But these and you won't be disappointed. |

Training Glove Review

| I have used many different types of gloves over the years to train with, but I must say these gloves are definitely the best I have used. I like the gel feature in the gloves which gives the hand protection. My only complaint is the wrist wrap portion of the glove. I'm used to an elastic wrap, which seems to work better for supporting the wrist. The support on this glove doesn't give at all and it's hard to really get it tight around your wrist. Overall though, I would have to say this is definitely a great glove, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a lifting glove to train with. |

Gloves fit great and offer great protection. Early on the finger padding was a bit of a nuisance but has since shaped more, fits hand well when holding or pushing bars. The padding is still a bit much to go straight into pull ups or chin ups.
Overall good lifting gloves, would definitely purchase again. |

I work out personally about 4 to 5 times a week.
These are my second Harbinger gloves I've bought. The first pair I bought three years ago are still going strong but they are a bit frayed from the usage.
I personally like the WristWrap support. I do find my self having to re-adjust the straps every once in a while but it's really no hastle.
I got a pair of large and they fit snug... almost a little too snug. However after two work out sessions they loosened up and feel like a good match.
All in all I have to admit Harbinger make good work out gloves, that are durible and supportive. |

| Very high quality/durability. This glove works well as it should. Only complaint (splitting hairs here) is that it gets pretty hot pretty fast, and your hand will sweat. If you are an extreme sweater, you may want to sacrifice the quality construction of this glove for one that is more well ventilated. |

The Gloves are nice and the padding is good and made well.
Just the only thing is, they have wrist wraps and the wrist wraps can be a bit a hassle. You'll have to keep adjusting them sometimes cause you'll have to make them tight to stay on and make the gloves easier then it can get annoying.
Overall this Product is nice. Very well made and everything I recommend this well. |

| Having used Valeo and Schiek in the past, I must say these gloves are the best pair I've used. The comfort level is incredible with massive padding where needed and good wrist support. Construction feels solid and looks great. The only problem with these gloves is that they have a strong, um, super strong, smell. I don't know if it's just the pair I have, but at first they had a burnt brake pad kind of smell, which disappeared after cleaning them. Other than that...no complaints what so ever. Conclusion: Buy them...you won't regret it!! |

| It seems as if the palms were sewn on backwards to the wrong hands, the seller probally had no way of telling. The product is still Quality, But I am concerned about long term performance now. I wold have returned the item at the shippers cost, but I did not notice until the end the work day. Fair is fair I would not want someone to send me back a pair of used sweaty gloves. Could be better...Still not bad... |
Feels good but a little too big

The gloves are perfect. The wristwrap is a little too big for the size of this glove. I feel it could perform better with a smaller wrist wrap. The material is breathable, but sometimes it seems like it's not breathable enough.
I used the Harbinger Big Grip II WW before this and hated it because it's too bulky and one can barely grip anything inside that glove. But the breathability on the Big Grip was better than this one.
This one performs better overall, so here goes my 3 stars. |

| nice gloves, only thing i did not like is that they are really hard to take off, but overall good gloves to work out. |

After years of training with various gloves, I settled on the Harbinger 1250s.
I have been through about 6 pairs of them... typically swap them out after about 6mths of constant use (wish they lasted longer).
The good:
- The padding on these gloves if the most comfortable I've found when throwing a lot of weight around.
- The wristwraps add a decent amount of support and are easily adjusted between exercises (doubt they'd work for wrist straps)... fewer tendon strains... carpal/tennis elbow.
The bad:
- They get hot & sweaty... always the smelliest item in my gym bag. They can be hand washed on occasion... but this drys the leather out and reduces cushioning. I might try some baseball mitt conditioner or lanolin on them.. but it could make them slippery on bars.
- The leather wears down in the palm areas after a few months... and some of the padding becomes compressed.
- These gloves are hard to remove... but that is typical of most of the gloves I've tried.
*** Here's what I personally hate: this model came out in a b*tt ugly brown & black style recently... and its the only one I can find. Dozens of the brown ones have been sitting on store shelfs at local retailers (gathering dust according to at least one salesperson I spoke with). I figured I'd try ordering black/black gloves from Amazon... but was shipped the brown ones! I noticed Amazon still allows selection of black/black gloves... don't know if they actually have any in stock. I don't dress fashionably or have matching outfits and am the polar opposite of metro (think grungy gym rat)... but still hate the new color of these gloves for some reason... |

| Well I've being a Harbinger user for years now and normally I'm always quite please with their products but every now and then I end up buying a product like this just to regret it later. This gloves seems to be cheaply manufacture and poorly designed. I have a pair of Harbinger gloves that I bought 3 years ago and I'm thinking about keep using those even though they are falling apart. The glove it self doesn't seem that bad at first look but once you wear it you star noticing some key facts. Like the padding doesn't cover all the palm area. The fabric always get caught in the Velcro (that eventually will destroy the upper part of the glove). The straps are to thick and poorly place in the glove so you will actually have a problem trying to get them comfortably tide. Overall this gloves seem to be a cheap copy of the Harbinger gloves I already own. |

I have been lifting for years now and owned numerous pairs of gloves, naturally they wear out. While these gloves are very well built the overall design is flawed and uncomfortable.
Pros:
Lots of cushion everywhere
Wrap around provides good wrist support
Styling is good, look nice
Cons:
Gloves have so much cushion you can barely close your hand around the pull up bar or weights, not a good kind of cushion, way too much.
I measured my hand to figure out the correct size as instructed and bought according to the sizing chart. While it fit my palm ok, the gloves were way too long for my fingers and way too much cushion. I don't have odd hands and i've never seen this problem before with any other brand. My pinky actually disappears in the glove when gripping the bar. I had to cut a half inch off the fingers in order to make them fit. Problem now of course is sharp edges and the huge variation from padded gloves to bare fingers makes them unusable.
I have learned my lesson buying harbinger gloves, they were expensive and not even remotely worth it. This isn't the first time either. I have bought them in the past, same exact problem. Bulky, uncomfortable and didnt fit right and thanks to the excessive cushion it eliminates so much feeling especially when doing the bench press with heavy weight it makes it dangerous.
They need to do a bit more research on what makes a weight lifting gloves good while not going over kill and ruining the point, add gripping ability, cushion the hand from heavy weight, prevent calluses and keep your hands dry. All while adding control and comfort. As the saying goes, they should fit you like a glove and become part of your hand, so you can lift longer with heavier weight without destroying your hands. These feel like a big mess and all you want to do is take them off.
I was hoping to get used to them to break them in, I couldn't stand them. I went back to my old gloves that are falling apart.

| I got these gloves as a gift in October of 2006 and started using them in November 2006. In September of 2007 with only 10 months of use they developed a hole by the seem where the thumb meets the palm of the hand. I used them 3 times a week on normal relatively new Olympic weight bars. Same usage with Valeo and they lasted me 3 years. When I contacted Harbinger they failed to respond to me basically telling me tough luck. I would STAY AWAY from their gloves since they don't last and they will not back them if they don't. YOU WILL LOSE MONEY ON THESE IF YOU BUY THEM!!!!!! |
