All searches for drugs that can reliably help tinnitus are likely to be futile, for no such drug has either been discovered, or is being researched into. While several medications, including Echinacea and Ginkgo Biloba do provide some relief to persons affected by the disturbing tinnitus problems, such relief is generally not enough, and the effect does not last for long.

A vast majority of tinnitus-treating medicines, including all conventional treatments as well as some natural remedies are not found to be effective in curing the disease. The reason is in the fact that these methods of treatment do not tackle the problem directly. They only make an attempt to reduce the symptoms of tinnitus.

In the United States, about 30 million people are affected by tinnitus each year. In such a scenario, it would be handy to know of the medicines that are commonly recommended by the medical practitioners to treat the ailment. Such drugs can be listed as follows:

Drugs that help tinnitus, albeit with rather considerable side effects:

1. Medicines with Botulinum toxin.
2. Propranolol or Clonazepam drugs.
3. Tricyclics, like Amitriptyline and Notriptyline,
4. Etidronate medicines, with sodium fluoride,
5. Acamprostrate medicines,
6. Lingnocaine drugs,
7. Carbazepine formulations,
8. Melatonin drug, and
9. Medicines with Setraline.

A Rationale For The Failure Of These Tinnitus-Helping Drugs To Deliver Desired Results

At the very outset, it needs to be understood that tinnitus is caused by a combination of several factors. Unless all such factors are identified and treated, an effective cure cannot be obtained. Many of these causes are related among each other as well. For example, when blood vessels in the head and neck regions get constricted, Pulsatile tinnitus can be the result. Such constriction of the blood vessels can in turn be a result of cholesterol being accumulated in large amounts within the blood vessels.

Again, when a person is exposed to too much strain or is over-stressed, his/her blood pressure increases, bringing about high cholesterol deposits in the blood vessels. Hence, only when the factors related to excessive stress and strain are removed, can the tinnitus problems be effectively eliminated. As can be easily imagined, this is somewhat difficult to attain. A holistic approach to treatment remains the only viable option for getting the desired outcome.

When the nerves of the Cochlear (inner parts of the ear) get damaged, tinnitus problems can come to surface. Moreover, such nerve damages cannot be removed from outside. They can internally heal, and regain the powers of carrying out the usual tasks of nerves. This process is facilitated by the inherent vitality of the human body.

However, if an individual has an erroneous lifestyle, such in-built powers might get lost. The problem can be solved only by adopting a holistic approach towards treatment, including a complete overhaul of the everyday habits and lifestyle. Food habits need also be altered, with all types of alcoholic beverages cut out from the new diet.

Affected individuals should not consume meat, or other foods derived from meat. Vegetables, fruits, and other foods with organic ingredients should be eaten more. Doctors also recommend the practice of deep breathing exercise as well as yoga postures everyday to get rid of the problems.

One of the chief triggers that can flag off the causes and promote tinnitus is a blocked sinus. If sinus ailments reach a chronic nature, tinnitus can often result. When the mucous membrane gets inflamed (catarrh) chronically, the symptoms present themselves as infections or blockages in the Eustachian tubes, sinus as well as the membranes of the throat and the nose.

This, in turn, results in ringing noises being heard, having trouble to breathe and also acute headaches. At an early stage of these problems, relief can be obtained from decongestants and anti-allergic drugs. However, these medicines lose their efficacy if the problems are advanced in nature.

A Comparison Of The Drugs That Help Tinnitus And The Holistic Methods Of Treatment

It has been found that holistic methods of treatment can put a stop to the extremely distressing ringing noises caused by tinnitus. However, the conventional medicines are not successful to achieve this purpose. There are three basic causes that bring about tinnitus problems, as listed below. Each of them is effectively tackled by holistic treatment approaches.

1. Exposure to heightened levels of stress and anxiousness, coupled with a high level of blood pressure. These factors can be well treated by holistic treatment methods,

2. When the affected people no longer experiences excessive stress, and their blood pressure levels also come back within the normal range, the risks of blood vessels getting constricted disappear. Hence, the neck and the head parts receive smooth supplies of blood, and

3. The damaged nerves in the Cochlear regions also get regularly healed, when the relevant parts of the body gets increased blood supply, and the extent of exposure to stress falls.

In Conclusion

It can be concluded that spending money and time for medicines to solve tinnitus problems is rather futile. Compounding the disadvantages of these drugs is the fact that, they often come with severe side effects, which can permanently damage the system of the affected person. Most conventional modes of treating tinnitus treat only the outward symptoms of the disease, and leave the basic ailment within the body. As a result, these techniques are hardly ever successful.

Herb-based medications as well as homemade remedies fail too. Antibiotics that are supposed to cure tinnitus, in fact, augment the problem, instead of offering a solution to the disease. Only when the inherent system of the body is able to fight with the causes of tinnitus, can the disease be totally eliminated in a natural and lasting manner. This is precisely how the holistic techniques of treatment function. All the factors that can cause tinnitus need to be identified and effectively treated. This can indeed result in a permanent relief from tinnitus problems.

Having high cholesterol means directly risking the health of your heart. The resultant disease can lead to a fatal stroke. If you want to lead a healthy life with a promise of good health then you have to take steps to lower cholesterol. High cholesterol leads to stiffening of the arteries that in turn reduces the rate at which blood reaches in and out of the heart. The heart then has to work harder to complete this process which is why you get tried rather soon also it will cause mild to strong chest pain and probably a heart attack.

The ideal level of cholesterol is 200 mg/dl, it means that your cholesterol is manageable. If the body cholesterol level exceeds 200 mg/dl and shoots over 240 mg/dl then you have entered a high risk zone. If you are in the risk zone then without any further delay fix an appointment with a heart specialist and take complete treatment. Even a general physician will conduct a blood test and handover the blood test report, this report will contain your cholesterol numbers. There are various drugs in the market to reduce cholesterol. As per the condition of your cholesterol the doctor will prescribe medication. Cholesterol related medicines contain inhibitors to absorb plus nicotinic acid.

You should understand that for these drug therapies to be effective both in the long term and in the short term you will have to effect changes in your lifestyle. You can find some effective natural remedies at your nearest pharmacies, health food stores & grocery stores. There are many websites that too sell cholesterol lowering supplements but as with all things you have to be careful of what products you choose. Whatever decision you make should be in consultation with your physician.

Completely avoid foods that contain saturated fats and switch to foods containing low fat, so what are the best foods with low fat, well green vegetables are the best foods one can have. The ideal food diet is to consume food from all food sources, foods such as fish, fresh fruits, vegetables, soy & grains is ideal. Foods such as junk food, fast foods, processed foods, processed dairy products, butter, prepackaged food and margarine are a complete no. Such food types carry high amounts of trans-fats that can cause great damage.

Smoking is another reason that contributes to high cholesterol. Stop smoking as it will aid in reducing cholesterol related issues and help avoid other medical conditions too. Additionally reduce the amount of calorie you consume it will benefit you in more than one way. Another key to controlling cholesterol as well as maintaining good health is regular exercise even aerobic exercise would assist you in achieving it.

Vitamins such as artichoke leaf extract, vitamin E, chromium, and niacin aid reduce or stall the process of the body creating high cholesterol. But I will advice that before you take any step does consult your doctor. It happens at times that some vitamins or supplements might not suit your body and instead of curing your cholesterol it might trigger a new problem. That is the main reason why you should only use natural products they won’t leave any side effects.

Jennifer Cross is dedicated to your health, and will do her best to bring you products and information that you can use to improve, maintain and boost your health.

Dogs and cats can cause a chronic condition called pet allergies in people that are allergic to them.

Sharing our homes and sometimes even our beds, pets are listed as a common cause of irritation, inflammation and other related problems to people who are allergic to pets.

For someone who is planning to have a house pet or for people who already own a pet, learning about the facts concerning pet allergies is a must.

Causes
Your body naturally produces antibodies to fight the onslaught of common pathogens. Pet allergies happen when the body’s immune system sees animal fur, hair or saliva as a potential risk to your health. In mistakenly identifying these forms of protein as a health risk, the body produces inflammatory responses in the nasal passages and in the lungs.

Virtually all pet allergens are proteins by nature. When they come in contact with the skin or breathed in, it causes the body to produce histamine, which results to swelling and irritation of the upper airways, hay fever symptoms and asthmatic symptoms.

Once pet allergies are suspected, it is important to immediately seek diagnosis, medication and treatment to prevent developing the complications associated with pet allergies.

Signs and Symptoms

The nasal inflammation caused by pet allergies often leads to sneezing, runny nose, itchy and red eyes, postnasal drip, and irritation on the nose, roof of the mouth and throat.

Once the condition worsens and leads to asthma, sufferers may experience breathing difficulties, chest tightness and pain, audible whistling and wheezing sound, sleeping problems and chronic cough. Other symptoms may be manifested on the skin, causing raised red patches and itchiness. Thankfully, the attack of pet allergies can be controlled with the right preventive measures, treatment and medication.

What to Do

If you suspect that you are suffering from pet allergy symptoms, you need to write down all your symptoms as well as your family’s history of allergy and asthma. Make a list of the medicines, vitamins and supplements that you are taking. This should help your doctor diagnose whether or not suffer from pet allergies. Early diagnosis is the key to successful pet allergy treatment and management.

Common Treatment and Medication

People who are allergic to pets may encounter symptoms of varying severity.

One way of preventing attacks or improving the condition of common pet allergy symptoms, patients are given allergy medications. Antihistamines, corticosteroids, and decongestants are few of the common medicines used to improve nasal allergy symptoms.

Depending on the severity of a patient’s allergic reaction, he may be advised to undergo immunotherapy or nasal lavage. Immunotherapy is the treatment process that trains the body to not be sensitive to pet allergens. Nasal lavage aims to improve allergic symptoms by rinsing off the nasal passages with saline solutions.

Prevention

The best way of preventing pet allergies is by limiting your exposure to animal allergens. To do that, you must establish a pet-free zone in your home. Regularly maintain, scrub or vacuum your homes carpeting and dander-collecting home furnishings. You can also decide to keep your pet outside. But if you cannot bear to part with your pet, invest on a high-efficiency air purifier and filter to reduce the airborne pet allergens inside your home.

In 1868 the French neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot discovered the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Back then MS was a very rare to find disease. Neither had it been mentioned in ancient literature. Accordingly MS is a modern disease. As time passed by MS has been diagnosed more often and today it is next to epilepsy one of the fastest growing euro logical diseases in the world.

Many triggers have been named as potential causes but none of them is the true trigger. Otherwise a medicine to totally and effectively suppress the symptoms would have been developed already long ago. But there is nothing in sight but hope and now it can be fulfilled.

Many people are surprised to learn that pharmaceuticals have primarily the function to suppress symptoms. They cannot heal because they lack the most important ability: Pharmaceuticals are unable to eliminate the root cause. Any medical doctor will agree with this if you ask them.

Medical science is far from offering something that cures MS. Thus patients have been told since the discovery of MS that this illness could not be cured. All that is available are a lot of information like books on how to live with multiple sclerosis and how to arrange your life to make it somehow through the day if the symptoms get worse.

If we surf through the web and look at other sources we find the same stereotype information again and again. You can read about signs and symptoms, get information about the changes in the human organism and especially in the brain as a result of MS, and so on.

As potential triggers have been identified the genes; infectious agents; environmental toxins; organic solvents; food allergies; hormone imbalances; dietary fat. Other potential causes are Linoleic and Gamma Linoleic acids, antioxidants, Vitamin D and B12 deficiency to mention only a few. Anyhow science admits not to know the true trigger(s) at all why those mentioned above remain theory.

The patients find little help to improve their situation. All there is are drugs that alleviate the symptoms and make the situation a little bit more bearable. But to live a bearable life is much too little if there is a possibility to live a normal life and you can live a normal healthy life again.

Unfortunately people with MS have been told that there would be no cure and that they would have to arrange themselves with the disease and make it through the day when things get worse. That’s easy to say for those who don’t suffer from MS.

The saddest of all is:

There has been a cure since 1940 that successfully helped some 12,000 patients, i.e. they got free from their MS symptoms. The German physician Dr. Joseph Evers discovered the relationship between MS and nutrition.

He found out that as soon as people change their diet in a certain way their symptoms get better and totally disappear after some time. The modification of nutrition was the basis of his treatment. To complete it he “ordered” physical action as soon and as far as his patients were able to. His success was tremendous and easy to explain.

Remember, MS was first discovered in the second half of the 19th century. Around the same time many other so called civilization diseases occurred for the first time as well. Something else happened back then that changed the world completely: The industrial production of foods.

One consequence of it is that these products get processed to such a high degree (milling, heating, homogenizing, pasteurizing and more) that they lack most if not all of their nutritional value. They fill the stomach and keep you alive and that’s pretty much it. In opposite, if we eat too much of this denatured food we get ill, some sooner some later but we surely do. The result can be seen in any overfilled doctor’s practice.

There is another problem with industrial manufactured foods. They need a lot of additives to make them look nice and appealing and they have to have a long shelf life. To achieve this, the food industry has a huge selection of artificial additives like preservatives, homogenizers, colors, flavors and flavor enhancers. They accumulate to some 25,000 to 30,000 additives today.

In the meantime the food industry acquired so much knowledge that they manufacture many products that are completely artificial. To my horror I have to admit that some of them taste really good. They taste so well that one could eat tons of them. But they undermine our health extremely and exhibit destructive impact. By the way the craving for more is a result of additives as well.

Additives can be evaluated as harmful to the human organism. Our defense mechanism is designed to detect viruses, bacteria, simply natural things that could cause infections, inflammations and other problems. Most bacteria are harmless and many of them even essential. One example is intestinal bacteria which are in charge of building vitamin B12. Billions of bacteria reside our colon.

Our immune system knows them and remains quiet. But if it detects harmful bacteria or viruses the immune system immediately gets active to eliminate the invaders.

This defense is stymied when we ingest artificial food additives. The same is the case with other substances like herbicides and pesticides. Although these substances are harmful our organism is unable to identify them as harmful. The immune system remains inactive.

A big portion of these artificial substances is not excreted and remains circulating in the body or gets stored for instance in fat depots. The consequences are neurodermatitis and ADHD to mention only two. Both are symptoms of the nervous system like multiple sclerosis.

Proper skin care is important, and when choosing skin care products, it is important to consider your skin type. This knowledge will dictate the course of your entire skin care regimen. It is especially important to identify whether or not you have sensitive skin. Knowing the answer will allow you to intelligently choose your skin care products, and avoid needlessly irritating your skin.

Sensitive skin encompasses all the other skin types, which includes normal skin, dry skin, oily skin, and combination skin. However, sensitive skin also reacts to a variety of synthesized chemicals and pollutants, as well as some naturally occurring elements. There are several symptoms that can identify sensitive skin. People with sensitive skin often experience feelings of dryness and tightness. Another symptom is having skin that burns, or is easily irritated, by sun exposure or wind. Sensitive skin will also react quickly if it comes into contact with any irritating substances. The skin may become blotchy, red, or break out in a rash. It may also appear to “blush” or show visible veins. Other discomforts of sensitive skin include itching or tingling and reactions to temperature. If you have had a reaction to one or more products, or experienced some of these symptoms, than it is likely you have sensitive skin.

Managing sensitive skin means that choosing the proper skin care is essential. This is especially true since sensitive skin may have other issues that also need to be addressed, such as oiliness or acne. Avoiding chemicals and irritants is a must. This applies to all aspects of skin care such as cleanser, sunscreen, moisturizer, and make up. Most products are full of harsh ingredients like preservatives and fragrances. Many products contain warning labels and have lengthy ingredient lists laced with chemicals. Fortunately, there are an increasing number of organic products available that are perfect for sensitive skin.

Organic skin care products do not contain any chemicals that can quickly irritate sensitive skin. Rather, their focus is on using naturally occurring plant extracts and oils. Some popular organic ingredients include jojoba oil, olive oil, and tea tree oil. The use of natural ingredients eliminates the problem of irritation from synthetic substances, and soothes troubled skin. The majority of organic products also contain vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to the skin.

Choosing organic skin care products will greatly reduce the risk of sensitive skin having an adverse reaction. Organic products are now available that cover all aspects of personal care for men and women including shampoos, body washes, and fragrances, as well as facial creams and make up.

Coping with sensitive skin can be a challenge, but selecting the appropriate skin care products will make it much easier. Avoid all chemical based products that are loaded with irritants. Choose organic products that will nourish your skin and greatly reduce, or even eliminate, the risk of irritation. Examine your entire skin care regimen, and make sure everything that comes into contact with your skin is natural and hypo allergenic.

Achieve healthy looking skin with Organic skin care products for face including night creams, face moisturizers, facial masks and more.

In order to permanently succeed with your body transformation you must find your “supreme objective” and make all other elements in your life conform around it. Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, “We succeed only as we identify in life, or in war, or in anything else, a single over-riding objective, and make all other considerations bend to that one objective”

And it’s not enough to just say the reason(s) out loud either, they must be written down.

As a contract between no one else but you and the good Lord these words will form a powerful force that will not only propel you forward on the journey you’re about to embark, but keep you glued to the wheel of your ship (your body) through the worst of storms.

I know, this sounds a little corny. In fact, I’ve had many people tell me they read this technique but never applied it because they thought it was mumbo-jumbo — feel-good, sound-good instructions without bite. It was only when they finally applied it, after failed attempts at changing their body, did they realize it worked like crazy.

Why does it work? What you’ve done by drafting this contract is you created a bonded instrument between your moral and physical self.

But the most important thing it does is remind you, everyday, of your promise. This is why you must place the contract in a conspicuous place where you have to read it. Drafting a contract but not reading it every day is the same as never having drafted it in the first place. The bathroom mirror, or your nightstand (where I kept mine) are good places.

In 1998 I won a National body transformation contest. While speaking with one of the executives of the company that sponsored the contest, I was told something that, at first, was a revelation to me. They told me that out of 20,000+ contestants that entered that year, only 7% finished their 12-week program. Most had dropped out by the half way point or way before.

At first this was a surprise to me. I asked myself how could so many people give up and fail to finish? I couldn’t understand nor comprehend it because there wasn’t one moment during my program that I even remotely considered the a possibility of giving up. My reason was too powerful (Lesson 1), I made a decision to change (Lesson 2), I had a deadline to meet (Lesson 3), and I reviewed my goals and contract every single day – no lie (Lesson 4).

But then I remembered the year before. I had entered the previous year’s contest and had dropped out too…just like 93% of the contestants did the year I won. And I didn’t do any of these lessons I’m revealing to you now.

Because I failed the year before I knew I’d be in the same boat again unless I put all the advantages I could on my side. I studied the principles common to successful people. Then I tailored them to maximize success for me. This principle is one of the 20 I came up with.

Would I have been as successful had I not utilized this particular principle? I doubt it. Reading my goals every night had a profoundly positive effect on my mind. After I started my program I honestly didn’t think I would win, yet I knew I would be successful at transforming my body.

Which group do you want to be a part of, the successful 7%, or the defeated 93%? You’ve heard it said before that the power to succeed lies in your hands. But this ethereal statement is never backed up with the “how-to’s” of success.

By following these principles you can harness an internal support system that will help you transcend problems or obstacles you will encounter along your path to a new body. And there will never be a doubt that you WILL ccomplish your goals.

Next, get my entire list of 20 “Blueprints” that allowed me to dramatically transform my body and win the 1998 Body For Life contest. Imagine finally getting the body you’ve always wanted! http://www.harryjohnsonjr.com/lose-more-weight/want-to-lose-more-weight/
