In our professional experience, composite dental fillings made from resin and porcelain are the best options for filling teeth with cavities and cracks The use of dental amalgam, also known as silver-mercury fillings, is no longer a wise or viable option in general dentistry. Their use dates back to the Civil War and many dentists throughout the country still use them in their daily practice.

These outdated fillings are made from silver and mercury that harden when the two are mixed. There are a number of reasons why use composite dental fillings instead.

For one thing, composite dental fillings contain no mercury. They are made either from special resins or from porcelain. Amalgam fillings can consist of as much as 55 percent mercury at the time teeth are filled. The problem is, mercury leaks out of the filling over a period of years. In five years, mercury content is normally around 27 percent.

After fifteen years, it is down to zero. It is the position of our group that patients should never have to ingest mercury in any amount, as it is highly toxic. It will show up in the liver, placental barrier, and mother’s milk. While we have no definite proof linking mercury contamination to a number of diseases often mentioned in the media, we do have cause for concern.

So why don’t all dentists use composite dental fillings instead? This is an intriguing question. Mercury is still part of the standard curriculum in most dental schools. It is inexpensive, and it is easy to place. Some insurance companies will even go so far as to insist on amalgams because the payout on them is less expensive than composite porcelain or resin fillings.

It is ironic that when we remove amalgam scraps from a patients teeth, we have to store them in a hazardous waste container. Why then would such a toxic substance be found in a human mouth to begin with? The answer is that amalgam had be in use prior to either the federal government or the American Dental Association systematic testing of which materials were safe to use in dentistry. If tested today, mercury certainly would not be approved. However, it was permitted to remain in use after the fact through a grandfather clause which is still in effect till this day.

There is another very important reason to opt for cosmetic dental fillings instead of mercury-silver. They do not expand and contract in response to temperature changes. Mercury, on the other hand, is an expansive substance, which is why it is so effective when placed in thermometers.

When mercury heats up, it expands. It makes no sense to us to place a substance that is more than 50 percent mercury into a brittle tooth. Drinking or eating anything cold, then eating or drinking something hot will have to same effect on the filling as the substance in a thermometer. In our practice, we see so many adult molar fractures that we now believe these fillings are responsible for so many cracked teeth.

Finally, from an aesthetic perspective, a dental filling made from porcelain or resin will blend right in with the natural color of teeth. This allows a properly trained dental professional to make almost any tooth look brand new at the end of the day.

Cosmetic Dentistry is a specialized field that requires extensive knowledge and experience to be done correctly. The Medical Center Dental Group in Houston, Texas brings all of that and more to the direct benefit of each and every patient we treat.

Eating a specific Chronic Fatigue Syndrome diet is vitally important for CFS sufferers.

As a natural practitioner I have witnessed the healing power of foods in numerous CFS patients as well as on myself. Healthy food has an extraordinary power to reverse disease and heal your body.

In this article I am going to share with you the most important things you can do to improve your eating habits which will help you reduce chronic fatigue syndrome.

Supplements never can replace food. If you want to heal your body you need to saturate your body with nutrition.

What I mean by this is that you must give your body the absolute best nutrition you can afford. You need quality foods that are natural, unrefined, organic and without chemicals.

As well as saturating your body with the highest quality nutrition you also must be able to digest your food. It is pointless to eat highly nutritious food if you cannot digest it. In fact if you do not digest your food you will create toxins in your digestive tract which will worsen chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms.

I remember years ago when I was very sick with chronic fatigue syndrome that I was eating a lot of brown rice. Now brown rice is highly nutritious but it is very hard to digest. This food was not healing me. In fact it was making me much worse because I could not digest it.

You see many people with chronic fatigue syndrome have chronic digestion problems. So it is vitally important to only use the highest quality food that you can digest.

And lastly you should only eat foods that reduce the excess air element. According to Ayurvedic medicine an excess air element in your colon and nervous system is the root cause of chronic fatigue syndrome and to counter that you need to eat foods that reduce the air element. For example you want to avoid foods that are cold, light, dry, raw and gassy because these foods increase the air element.

Instead eat more foods that are freshly cooked, warm, moist and grounding. These foods reduce the air element and help heal chronic fatigue syndrome.

Avoid eating junk food

As well as knowing what you should eat you must also know what to avoid. You must avoid at all costs junk food. Junk food does incredible harm to your body and has no nutritional value.

Junk foods are saturated in fat, white sugar, white flour, preservatives, salt and colourings.

Junk foods cause obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, tooth decay, and liver failure. Some studies have even shown that junk food can harm your memory and even lead to mild brain damage.

Junk foods are deadly for chronic fatigue syndrome patients and if you eat junk food you absolutely must give it up if you want to self heal. You do not even have a choice here. Throw junk food out of your pantry.
Junk food is poison avoid it like the plague.

Avoid eating reheated foods.

Reheating food reduces essential nutrients. All the prana and life force is gone from reheated foods. Reheated food will not energize your body or mind. In fact it will deaden your senses.

Instead get into the habit of eating only freshly cooked foods. This will make a dramatic difference to your chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms over time. You will notice a radical difference in your energy and mental happiness by eating freshly cooked foods.

Just do a test. Eat reheated food for a week and then eat freshly cooked food for a week. See the difference within your health through your own personal experience.

Avoid using a microwave when eating a chronic fatigue syndrome diet.

Microwave cooking is not natural and is far more dangerous to your health than you can imagine.
It is so dangerous that in 1976 Russia banned microwave ovens. They did this because Russian researchers found microwaving foods destroy nutritional value, creates free radicals, cell damage, hormonal imbalance, cancer and malfunctions to occur in the lymphatic system.

Microwave cooking causes severe changes in human blood and the immune system.

In Oklahoma (1991) there was a lawsuit where a hospital micro-waved blood in order to warm it for a transfusion. The patient, Norma Levitt died from this micro-waved blood transfusion.

This shocking tragedy makes it very real that microwaves are more dangerous then we are been led to believe.

It is very obvious that microwave heating does something to the substances it heats. If you use a microwave then you also ingesting these dangerous unknowns.

Another study found significant and disturbing changes in the blood of individuals consuming micro waved milk and vegetables.

If you still doubt how unhealthy microwave cooking is then please do this simple experiment.

Plant some seeds in two pots. Water one pot with water that has been micro-waved. Water the other pot with regular tap water. Here is the scary part. The seeds that received micro-waved water will not sprout. Just think about that.

If micro-waved water can stop plants from growing then think what micro-waved food is doing for your health. So please avoid microwaving your food.

For water to be considered as drinking water, it should be of high standards that upon consumption there would be no eminent risk of harming ones health. The human body is estimated to contain 60 to 70 percent water with most of the human body parts containing a lot of water. The human body requires drinking water for various functions such as the regulation of body temperature and provision of a means through which nutrients are transported to other organs of the body.

In most regions of the world, humans consume water that is contaminated with disease vectors. Water such as that is not safe for consumption and may result in chronic illnesses, hence the need to put up water distribution systems and also put into use water purification technology. Water purification is basically the elimination of contaminants from raw water.

Purification of drinking water can be carried out through either the physical process which can be through water filtration or water sedimentation. Secondly it can be purified through the biological processes like the activated sludge or the slow sand filters. Chemical processes of water purification include flocculation and chlorination and finally we can apply electromagnetic radiation through the use of ultraviolet light.

The purification of drinking water reduces concentration of parasites, bacteria, viruses, algae, suspended particles and other matters that may have come into contact with the water as it falls into the rain. Basically, the quality of drinking water is usually set by the specific government of that area or by the international standards.

Access to Water We can measure the access to drinking water through the number of masses who the ways and means of having safe and adequate amount of drinking water. Inability to finance and maintain the involved infrastructure has led to the poor accessibility to safe drinking water.

Improved water drinking sources have been but in place and they include: household water connection, boreholes conditions, public standpipe, protected spring and rain water. In coming up with safe water sources there also has to be the access of good sanitation facilities such as the connection to public sewers and septic systems. Sources from which water can be found include: ground sources (ground water), precipitation (rain, snow), surface water etc. With advancement in technology, purification methods have also advanced for the better with introduction of water machines ranging from products such as water vending dispensers, water vending units and reverse osmosis water vending machines. Lack of water is among the major problems in developing countries. But thanks to the Water aid program, that has helped provide water has seen improvement of hygiene to the people living in areas where by safe drinking water was a problem.

The aim is to keep the skins moisture levels constant as it is when moisture from the skin is lost that Eczema will cause the most distress. This is the most important self-care treatment that one can use in atopic eczema. The use of anything that may dry out the skin or that remove the natural oils from the skin should be stopped as soon as possible.

To moisturize the skin, special ointments and creams can be used called emollients. Thick emollients do not dry the skin out unlike aqueous cream which should only be used if the skin is not dry and flaking.

To help stop the skin becoming dry, emollients replace any lost moisture and formulated oils and creams can be used for washing.

There are other skin cleansing products that can then be used to help moisten the skin after bathing such as Dipobase for example. The desire to scratch the affected areas is very strong but only makes the situation worse so lotions and excema creams such as Eucerin and ointments like Sebexol and Epaderm can be applied to the skin.

Generally twice daily applications of emollients work best and while eczema creams are easy to apply, they are quickly absorbed into the skin, therefore needing frequent re-application. Ointments on the other hand, with less water content, stay on the skin for longer and need fewer applications.

Hydrocortisone steroid or Desonide are used for eczema cases the condition is not above moderate. On the other hand, products such as corticosteroids have proved very successful at controlling eczema, they cannot provide a cure. However, steroids are very strong and prolonged use is not advisable as the can cause the skin to become older and less pliable.

Just to make sure that delicate skin, especially the face, is not damaged by this cream or ointment, only low potency steroids can be applied to these areas. Steroids pose risks to the skin but they should only be used when they are absolutely needed and preferably only to help control a bad eczema episode. In fact as soon as it has reduced the inflammation, steroid creams should no longer be used and emollients can take over. Where possible, eczema patients should not use corticosteroids longer than the short to medium term if they want avoid and further problems and stick to the non-steroidal ointments.

Currently, immunomodulators are used to treat affected eczema areas but their effectiveness depends on the group of people they are used on.

Scabies is caused by an infestation of the itch mite known as Sarcoptes scabiei. Mites are eight-legged parasites which are just 1/3 of a millimetre in length. These mites burrow into the human skin and will cause intense itching. The mites which are not visible to the eye consequently cause the condition known as scabies.

Scabies produces small red bumps and blisters and tend to target specific areas of the body such as between the fingers, the wrists and the backs of the elbows, the knees, around the waist, the sides and backs of the feet, the genital area, and the buttocks. The bumps, also known as papules may also contain blood crusts. However, not every papule may contain a mite as in most cases of scabies there are no more than 10 or 15 live mites within the body regardless of the number of bumps and pimples.

If you catch scabies, it is important to remember that it is not a reflection of personal hygiene or that you are ‘dirty’. The condition can be caught as a result of simple physical contact such as hugging. Elderly people can often catch scabies from retirement homes as can children in schools. The most common way of catching the condition however is via sexual contact which is the most common form of transmission. Scabies mites are very sensitive to their environment and are only able to exist within a human body for 24 to 36 hours under most conditions.

The most common symptom of scabies is itching which tends to be constant and extremely intense. The itch will usually become worse at night. For the first week, the itch may be subtle, but gradually becomes worse until it may become difficult to sleep at all. What makes the itch of scabies distinctive is that fact that it is relentless in contrast to other itchy conditions such as eczema which rarely prevents the sufferer from sleeping. You will also likely notice small burrows under the surface of the skin and sores caused by itching.

There are many conventional treatments which can be used to treat scabies. You can apply a mite-killer cream such as permethrin. This cream is applied from the neck down, left on overnight, and then washed off the following day. An oral medication such as ivermectin is an effective scabicide but the disadvantage of ivermectin is that it has a greater risk of toxic side effects than creams and is not necessarily more effective in treating the scabies. Antihistamines, such as Benadryl, can also be useful in helping provide relief from itching. It is also advisable to wash linens and bedclothes in hot water.

However, it is important to understand that there are a significant number of natural treatments and remedies which contain key ingredients available that will effectively treat scabies and prevent the condition from returning. Natural oils can be far more beneficial and gentle to the skin and actually reduce any potential scarring caused by the mites and continual itching. These remedies also help to reduce the risk of sores becoming infected and kill the scabies from the inside. In addition, they revive the skin to a healthy condition quicker than that of conventional methods and without some of the unpleasant side effects. Here at Megavista, we can save you valuable research time by providing you with the best information possible on how to effectively treat and cure scabies via natural, alternative treatments.

Many women considering breast augmentation surgery have concerns about different aspects of the procedure. One of the most common questions is how large the scars will be and how visible they will be. Plastic surgeons realize that this is a major concern for most patients and will do all they can to minimize the size and appearance of the necessary scars. There are even several different types of breast implant methods that produce varying degrees of scar length and positioning.

There are basically four distinct techniques for inserting and placing implants during an augmentation procedure. The first is the TUBA method which stands for transumbilical breast augmentation. It is an endoscopic procedure, meaning the placement can be done with the use of tiny instruments while the surgeon can see what needs to be done under the skin through a microscopic camera inside that projects images to a video monitor.

The incisions for this implant surgery are inside the belly button, which essentially means there will be no visible scarring. The TUBA method is well designed for leaving no trace of the incisions.

A second method is the transaxillary breast augmentation that places the breast implants through incisions made in the natural folds of the underarms. While the resulting scars are detectable upon looking for them, usually they are no more than small, fine lines that are never seen or noticed in normal movement. This is typically considered the second best procedure for creating almost imperceptible scars.

The peri-areolar breast augmentation method makes an incision around the bottom half of the areola. Typically, since this area is darker than the surrounding skin the scars are well camouflaged at the base of the areola, but may show as a fine line that careful observers may discover.

This is technique is best recommended for women with large areolas that can hide the scars easily enough as women with small areolas will have ones that extend below the body’s naturally dark circles making them more noticeable.

Finally, the incisions in inframammary breast augmentation are made underneath the breasts in the natural crease where the bottom of the breast meets the chest wall. These scars are generally longer than all the other methods and will be noticeable when the arms are raised high above the head, but other wise are well hidden by the tissue. Successfully hidden scars with this method are much more common with larger breasted women than smaller breasted ones.

It is important for women to consider all the relevant aspects of each augmentation surgery technique, not just where and how big the scars will be, as scarring will vary from individual to individual even with the same methods. A qualified plastic surgeon can help interested candidates determine which procedure offers the best overall advantages for their specific needs and desires.

These might include things like whether they want silicone or saline implants, how big the implants will be, and whether they will be placed over or under the pectoral muscles. Figuring out the right combination of these factors will produce the most satisfying and longest lasting results possible.

Enhance your look and get a fuller figure with breast implants. The Woodlands cosmetic surgeon offers an array of enhancement options for women unhappy with their breast size. Contact the surgeon at http://www.drkimplasticsurgery.com for beautiful, proportioned, natural-looking results.
