If you think, for a second, that there are enough Yoga instructors available already – think again. Each geographic area has different needs, but optimum health is needed everywhere.

When looking at the needs of students with Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, Ataxia, and students who are recovering from a stroke, this need is only the “tip of the iceberg.”

The need for instructors, who can teach Yogic health maintenance, from a chair, goes far deeper than any of us thought ten years ago. Here are just a few reasons why this is a growth opportunity for competent chair Yoga teachers.

We know the population is aging. The number of people crossing the age of 50 is growing worldwide. Some of us are very mobile, and some of us are not, but Yoga in a chair makes perfect sense because it is a safe form of cross training.

How often have you heard about someone getting hurt during an activity? The truth is – you can be injured while golfing, jogging, skiing, walking, playing tennis, or getting out of bed. However, if you are properly warmed up, you are much less likely to be injured, while participating in your favorite activity.

With all of the cut backs in physical education, and the super-sizing of our youth, Yoga should be a strong consideration in our public schools. The sad fact is – many children cannot run around the block once, because they are too far out of shape, or just plain too big. Yoga in a chair, proper diet, and a regular walking program, has the potential to prevent health problems for obese children.

Negligent health habits have gone past the point of humor. When you watch re-runs of television shows from the 60′s, look at the characters that we thought were big. Do you remember Skipper, Hoss, and Schultz? They are just average sized men by today’s standards.

As a result of a worldwide obesity epidemic, there is definitely a need for more office Yoga classes, and a chair is the primary prop. Companies and governments are slow to change, but statistics tell the true story: Carrying extra weight, leads to many health problems, and is a health risk factor, which leads to a lack of production.

This scenario results in a tremendous financial drain on companies and governments. Therefore, a fitness program that is a combination of low impact and low friction movement, along with changes in one’s lifestyle, is required. As you already know, Yoga in a chair is exactly what is needed.

While asking this question, these women also are trying to figure out whether it is something they have done, or is there boyfriend no longer interested in them or seeing someone else or is there some other reason this is happening.

Hopefully after reading this, you will have a better idea of the many causes to erectile problems and ways to help your boyfriend past these problems and onto a happier relationship.

Erectile dysfunction or ED is an inability of a male to attain or to maintain an erection. In order for an erection to occur the blood vessels in the penis need to expand and fill with blood.

This stimulation occurs when nerve signals from the brain prompt the blood vessels. Recent statistics show that there are over 18 million men in the U.S. with some level of erectile dysfunction.

Erectile dysfunction due to a medical condition is very rare in men under 40, particularly if there is not a pre-existing medical condition. In men under 40, erection problems are mainly psychogenic, meaning it is more a matter of what is going on inside the brain and not other parts of the body.

Issues that can cause erectile problems include; performance anxiety, unrecognized homosexuality feelings or perceptions, a recent death or serious illness in a family member or close friend or financial problems, the most common being performance anxiety with most young males attempting to live up to the Hollywood or pornographic movie ideal of he perfect lover and falling short.

Smoking can be another contributor to erectile problems. ED is 1.5 times more common in those that smoke than those that do not smoke. Depression and erectile problems have also been since linked together, with each problem increasing the trouble with the other. It has also been shown in studies that once the erectile problems decrease, the level of depression also improves.

Not all erectile problems are in the mind, there could be other causes of erectile problems which are not as easy to correct or address.

These include; nerve damage caused by longstanding diabetes or an injury to the groin area, a cardiovascular disorders which is affecting the blood supply to the pelvic area, certain prescription medications have been shown to have an effect on erection functioning, a spinal cord injury that has gone untreated, the onset of multiple sclerosis, an unbalancing with levels of hormones within the individual or alcoholism and drug abuse.

If persistent erectile problems exist, a visit to the doctor should occur to rule out these or any number of other potential causes.

There are many lifestyle changes that a man can make which can cause a significant improvement in his ability to get or maintain an erection.

These changes include; stopping smoking or being around those that do smoke, limiting or avoiding the use of alcohol or other non-prescription or illegal drugs, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep each night, finding ways to reduce the amount of stress, dealing with causes of anxiety or depression, and having a regular check-up with their doctor to ensure that this is not a sign of some other medical condition.

As we can see there are a number of causes for a man to have some type of erectile problems and a number of ways to deal with them. It could be something very far outside the bedroom that is causing the problem.

If you can help your boyfriend deal more positively with these other issues, you should probably see an improvement in how he can deal with the issues inside the bedroom too.

A lot of bodybuilders have some problems with choosing the right weights to use when bodybuilding or basically said, strength training. You need to understand that any exercise you do against resistance is strength training. There are various types of resistances, in our case the most common being free weights, tubing, machines or even our own body weight. Through strength training you can lose weight as calories are burned faster and you can even aid your body in preventing injuries while also alleviating chronic and joint back pain.

The difficult part is that the most benefit you can obtain through strength training comes from using the right weights, something that is sometimes hard to understand and acknowledge properly.

A lot of individuals, especially women, are afraid to use as much weight as needed to obtain benefits as there is a concern of building large muscles. You need to understand that a regular strength training workout will not bulk you up. Believe it or not, this is mostly true for women because their body does not produce enough quantities of the right hormones that allow bulking up.

A basic rule of thumb is that strength training requires the weights used to be heavy enough for the muscle to be challenges. Weights that are too light will not put enough stress on the muscles and no change will appear in the future.

We also need to understand that in order to gain the muscle mass you see in professional bodybuilders you will need to put in a lot of time and effort (not to mention money in most cases). Most bodybuilders out there will be seen in the gym, working out around 6 days per week and the workout session does not last 20 minutes.

Multiple sets of each exercise are performed and they use heavy weights. A simple strength training routine that aims at performing 8 to 12 repetitions of each exercise, 2 to 3 days per week is simply not enough to build large muscles.

In order to find the right weights to use for bodybuilding we recommend that you try to first find the weight that permits you to perform the given exercise and do 10 repetitions while maintaining perfect form, before you are too tired to continue or do it correctly. If you use weights that are too heavy or not heavy enough you will not gain the benefits you are probably looking for.

It is true that the body can become used to a workout if you keep on doing the same exercises over and over again and you use the same weight. In order to maintain efficiency you will need to change the workout routine. If you can do 12 repetitions of a given exercise then you will need to put an extra pound or two to the weight you are used to. Keep your focus around the ten repetitions maximum technique mentioned above and increase the workout weight accordingly.

Alternatively you can change the exercises so that you can work the muscles from different angles, you can use tubes, machines or even your own body weight. Keep in mind that these advices are especially valid for medium level bodybuilders or regular people training. In order to go for bodybuilding competitions and similar activities (or maybe you are just looking for bulking up as much as possible) you might want advanced bodybuilding techniques.

While ED could be a signal that there is some other more serious medical condition, it often is just a reaction to the aging process or the environment around us.

There are two main causes of ED. These are physical and psychological. Physical are actual something wrong in the way the body either interprets or reacts to sexual stimulation. This could be in the nervous system and how signals are sent between the brain and the region around the penis.

This could also be in the muscular or arteriole system in getting sufficient blood flow or maintaining blood in the penis for an erection. There are many causes for this to occur including an injury to the groin or spine, various diseases including diabetes, kidney disease, prostate cancer or any other of a variety of medical conditions.

Psychological cause include stress, anxiety, guilt or anything else that could have an effect on the mind and the ability to concentrate on the ability to relax and enjoy the sexual experience.

A relaxed approach to the sexual experience is an important factor in reducing the stress or anxiety which could be contributing to any erectile problems.

If you have been or are concerned about erectile dysfunction or other erectile problems it is important that this be communicated not only to your doctor but also to your partner. The greater the level of communication between partners, the less stress that will be experienced by the participants and the less likelihood of erection problems due to psychological causes.

Other actions which can reduce the likelihood of experiencing erectile dysfunction include:

- Stop smoking
- Avoid excess use of alcohol or the use of any recreational drugs
- Maintaining a healthy diet, high in fiber and low in fats
- Keep your cholesterol in check, a high cholesterol level leads to hardening of the arteries and decrease blood flow making if more difficult to achieve and erection.
- Treat any symptom of high blood pressure.
- Lower stress in your life
- Exercise regularly
- Keep blood sugar level constant. This is especially important if you have diabetes.
- Regular medical check-ups to ensure that there are no other hidden medical problems which could be contributing to erection difficulties.

You should also remember that attainment of an erection may become more and more difficult as a man gets older. This is just a natural reaction to the aging process and should not be something that causes alarm.

Appropriate fore-play and open communication between partners should provide adequate stimulus to bring about an erection.

Appropriate attention to the physical environment, ensuring that the room temperature is not too cold and that the lighting is appropriate as to not raise the stress level will also be a benefit.

Erectile dysfunction is a condition which has reportedly effected between 10 and 30 million men in the United States.

Erectile dysfunction, sometimes referred to as impotence, is usually defined as the inability of a male to obtain or sustain an erection sufficiently enough to perform sexual intercourse.

Almost every man will face a problem at some point in their life to achieve an erection. This can be caused by stress, fatigue, recreational or prescription drug use, excessive alcohol consumption or in some cases even lack of desire.

These occasional difficulties should not raise concerns, however if the problem should become persistent, it is then considered erectile dysfunction or ED.

The basic cause of ED is something that affects the events which prompt the penis to engorge with blood and maintain it this way. There are several common diseases which can have an effect on this process which include high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease or hardening of the arteries. Smoking can also increase the occurance of ED.

There are several supplements that can provide the nutritional support that many men effected by ED are missing. It is important to consult with a physician or dietician before taking any supplement since they could have side effects with other medicine you might be taking. The following supplement and dosage levels have been shown to assist men experiencing ED:

Bioflavonoids – It is recommend that 1000 mg daily be taken daily.

Flaxseed meal – You should grind 2-4 tablespoons daily and sprinkle on food. Flaxseed meal is a the best choice since it is more natural and has a higher fiber, lignan, and vitamin content, however flaxseed oil (1 tbsp daily) can be substituted.

Inositol hexaniacinate – It is recommended that a man take 1000-3000 mg daily. This supplement has been shown to improve circulation, while also lower cholesterol. A warning to diabetics, you should not take this supplement.

Selenium – 200 mcg daily is the recommend daily dose.

Vitamin C – It is recommended that you take 1000 mg 3 times a day. These should be taken at meal time.

Vitamin E – The daily recommended dose is 400 IUs.

Zinc – A daily dose of 30 mg is recommended.

Certain herbal medicines have also shown success in treating erectile dysfunction. The benefit of herbal medicines is that they usually do not have any significant side effects when they are use appropriately and within recommended limits.

Some herbal treatments can cause stomach discomfort or headaches, but these usually pass with time as the body adjusts to the treatment. Due to this possible effect, it is recommended that only high quality products be used. Also, as with any other type of medicine, more is not always better and overdosing on herbal medicines can have the same effects as traditional medicine; these being serious illness or death.

Herbs that have shown success in treatment of erectile dysfunction include:

Asian ginseng – This is the traditional medicine for male impotence.

Damiana – Traditionally used as an aphrodisiac and for various sexual disorders.

Ginkgo biloba – This has shown success in increases arterial blood flow.

Muira puama – A new herb now being used to treat erectile dysfunction.

Erectile dysfunction is a condition which causes a man to experience difficulties in attaining or maintaining an erection. The process of attaining an erection, although it seems simple, is a complex process which can be impacted for a variety of reasons. Any problem, whether psychological or physical or a combination of these, can have a negative effect on a man’s ability to obtain an erection or in other words experience erectile dysfunction (ED).

Physical causes of erectile dysfunction are any physical problem which causes damage or a disruption in the sequence of events which eventually lead to an erection. Many bodily processes are used to create an erection; these included the nerve impulses in the brain and spine as well as the penis. They also include appropriate responses by the veins and arteries in the groin along with appropriate responses by the muscles and fibrous tissues of the penis.

Diseases which cause damage or a breakdown in the arteries, muscles or the surrounding tissue of the penis can be a cause of ED. Some of the most common diseases with ED impact are:

Diabetes: Diabetes have been seen to cause damage to the nerves and arteries in the penis causing difficulties to achieve an erection. About 35 to 50% of the men with diabetes have reported experienced ED, however estimates are that up to 75% of the men with diabetes will experience ED within their lifetimes.

Kidney Disease: Kidney disease causes a chemical change which can have an effect on hormones, circulation system, nerve functions and energy levels. These changes can also have a negative effect on a male’s sexual ability and sex drive. Also the drugs used to treat kidney disease can bring on erectile problems.

Neurological disease: The nervous system is one of the most important systems in the process of achieving and maintaining an erection. ED is often experienced by men that have experienced a stroke, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer and Parkinson’s disease and other spinal cord injuries. This occurs due to the problems with the transmission of nerve impulses from the brain to the penis and back.

Vascular Disease: Vascular diseases are the diseases which affect the vascular or blood vessels. Diseases such as atherosclerosis, hypertension and high cholesterol can have an effect on erectile performance, since they all restrict the flow of blood to the heart, brain and other body parts. These diseases account for nearly three-quarters of the ED patients.

Prostate cancer: While prostate cancer does not specifically cause ED, however the treatment of prostate cancer, radiation, hormonal manipulation and surgery, can cause erection problems.

Not all physical causes are the results of diseases. There are several other causes that can result in physical difficulties with erections. These include:

Surgery: Surgery for prostate cancer and bladder cancer, which require the removal of nerves and tissues around the area with cancer, can result in ED. Sometimes this effect is temporary, while others may result in more permanent damage.

Injury: An injury to the bladder, pelvis, spinal cord or penis could cause ED, especially if surgery is required.

Hormonal imbalances: Hormonal imbalances, such as those caused by a tumor of the pituitary gland, kidney and liver disease or from hormonal treatment for prostate cancer, can affect the way a man responds to sexual stimulation.

Venous leak: Problems with the veins which prevent blood from leaving the penis during an erection resulting in an inability to maintain an erection is known as a venous leak. A venous leak can be the result of disease or an injury.

Tobacco, alcohol and drug use.

Prescription drugs: There are over 200 prescription drugs that have shown to have a negative effect on erectile performance. That’s why I recommend you try natural remedies.
