Often people have headaches but assume it’s a tension headache or a migraine. Sinus headaches are less common and people just don’t connect their headaches with the sinuses. But the sinuses can wreak havoc in a number of ways and sinus headaches are just one way.

Even your doctor may overlook it and not give a correct diagnosis. If your sinuses are really inflamed it can be a blinding headache.

There are four sets of sinuses. Some lie behind the nose, cheeks and forehead. Another set lies deeper and can cause a one sided top-of-the-head headache also. The lining can become inflamed and the mucus can be blocked from passing through. Whether it’s by swollen and thus narrowed passages or from dried up mucous blocking the passages it can cause a lot of head pain.

A quart or more of fluid needs to pass through the sinuses every day. Becoming blocked can cause a great deal of head pain and give you a headache. Once the headache starts it’s difficult to stop it in its tracks. If you sense it in the beginning you may be able to fend it off with some alternative natural home remedies or treatments. One wants to seek immediate pain relief.

Other causes can result from the common cold and one must bear up through the cold and do as much as they can to relieve the pain while suffering from the cold.

Sinus infections and sinus headaches are common among people who have a deviated septum. This is genetic and people usually know they have it.

Many medications and drugs can cause sinus inflammation thus swelling the passages and causing headache pain. If you’re on a lot of medications consider this as a possibility.

Allergies are another reason people get sinus headaches. You may be aware that you have allergies to dust, mold, dust mites, pollen, perfumes or certain chemicals among other things. If not you may want to get tested if you’re experiencing sinus headaches, sinus infections or sinus inflammations (sinusitis) that you cannot attribute to other causes.

Mold or fungus is another common cause of sinus headaches and sinus infections, probably more so than bacteria. Antibiotics generally don’t work for sinus infections, because they are not usually caused by bacteria.

If you find you get headaches when you travel by airplane you may be experiencing stress from the change in pressure. Make sure you treat your sinuses before you fly to see if that helps.

There is much you can do to get rid of your sinus headaches once you determine that your headache is caused by the sinuses. Avoid any sinus medications as much as possible. The risks may make it worse.

Disabled travelers can enjoy free, cheap and discounted travel just the same as their more able-bodied friends do. There are many good deals and opportunities for travelers with disabilities to take advantage of for accessible travel. Save yourself a lot of money by taking advantage of the following disabled travel tips.

1. Discounts are available in top name hotels and motels today to disabled travelers as well as the able- bodied. They have to comply with the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) regulations so finding good accessible rooms is much easier than in the past. Of course the newer hotels and motels may be your best bet where you know they are more than likely built from the ground up correctly for accessibility rather than being patched up as some hotels and motels have done that were built in the not recent past.

2. Hostels are one of the cheapest ways to go of course. Hostels in the past have always been for the young folks, college students and those willing to sleep in rooms with others and not very private. And many were not wheelchair accessible either. Today there are many hostels that cater to wheelchair and those disabled travelers with mobility problems. Many go out of their way to make things more accessible and private for the disabled or wheelchair traveler. There are many accessible hostels.

3. You may not have thought of a home exchange but this is perfect if you have a wheelchair accessible home to offer. These may be a little harder to find and you may have to plan some vacation plans around the location in order to take advantage of it. Instead of Rome you may have to go to Paris! Instead of Disneyland you may have to go to Disney World – both cater to wheelchair travelers and have been wheelchair accessible for many years. If location doesn’t matter this is a great opportunity to take advantage of, so consider an accessible home exchange.

4. Don’t forget about the YMCA and YWCA. They have offered many accessible options for the disabled traveler for years. Many have accessible rooms and most if not all have swimming pools and weight rooms in order to get your daily exercise and fitness workout in.

5. If you’re staying at a hotel in the United States, find out if they offer free transportation from the airport for guests. If they do then by law they have to provide free accessible transportation for disabled travelers too. If they don’t have accessible hotel vans they have to use an outside van service. In any event they have to get you free to the hotel in a wheelchair accessible van or other accessible mode of transpiration.

If you’re wondering whether you should buy the best treadmill or join a health club and are having a difficult time deciding on which to do, here are a few tips you may want to know to help you decide.

I’ve had both. I’ve had a home treadmill and a health club membership and sometimes I’ve had both at the same time.

If you invest in a treadmill you’ll never have to worry about health club or gym membership dues. It’s a one item purchase. You can buy one used to save on the initial purchase price. If you buy a new or used treadmill you can always sell it down the line. In any event you want to choose the best one you can find that won’t take up a lot of room or will fold away and many of the newer machines are designed to do that.

Reasons people don’t like to join health clubs are: they don’t like to work out in front of other people especially if they have a weight problem, they don’t like paying monthly dues, or they don’t have time to go to the gym to work out. These are all good reasons to buy a treadmill.

Of course if you have a health club membership you have access to elliptical machines and other machines besides treadmills. Or your club may have a swimming pool, racquetball court or basketball court. But if you aren’t interested in these then more reason to choose a treadmill to use at home.

You may need some room to use a treadmill, which you may not have and may be another reason to join a health club instead. But the foldaway treadmills that slide under your bed or fit into a closet may work for you.

I can say it’s very convenient to have it at home for many reasons if the weather is bad and you don’t want to go out. You can still get your walking or running in and exercise by using your treadmill.

There are many good brands to choose from and they’re being improved on and redesigned every year so it only gets better. If you work a lot of hours and still need to spend time with the family you can save gas, driving time and health club time by just working out at home.

So if you want to save money invest in and buy a treadmill if you have the room. Monthly membership dues add up and in the end you don’t have anything to show for it if you don’t use it. Whether you use the treadmill or not you still have the treadmill and you can always sell it. There are many inexpensive machines on the market today. There are many brands to choose from and they’re very competitive in pricing. If you cannot pay cash, you can figure out what you would pay for a monthly gym or health club membership and apply that to payments if you have to put it on a credit card. Do your research online to start with and pay attention to reviews and ratings to buy the best treadmill for you.

I often talk to people who don’t know whether they have sinus infection symptoms or not. Symptoms are not always the same for everyone. You may have different symptoms than your neighbor but still suffer from an infection.

Sinus infections can happen after suffering from a cold or while you’re suffering from a cold. They can happen following exposure to an allergen or bacteria, viruses or fungi – mold. They’re not contagious. People often think they have a cold or the flu instead of a sinus problem, which makes getting better from it take a lot longer because it’s not been diagnosed or recognized as such.

The sinus cavities are positioned behind the cheekbones, eyebrows and jaw. They’re filled with air. Normally about a quart of fluid moves through the sinus cavities every day. When your sinuses swell from exposure to allergens or organisms, then the mucus and fluid cannot move through the passages, becoming stagnant and forming a blockage and pressure. This blockage causes an infection. There are tiny hairs called cilia that line the sinus cavities. They push the mucus through and out through the nasal passages.

So once these passages are inflamed and blocked the cilia can’t work properly and the passages become inflamed– meaning you have an inflammation or a sinus infection. Any inflammation of the sinuses is called sinusitis, whether there is an infection or not.

The sinuses are sensitive to changes in the temperature or air pressure. And besides allergens, such as pollen and smoke, swimming and diving can cause an inflammation as well.

Because the symptoms can occur during a cold or during an allergic reaction, a sinus infection may not be diagnosed early. Since many of the symptoms can exist for a cold or flu it can be confusing.

One of the earliest symptoms you might notice is a slightly sore throat. Now this doesn’t always happen but gargling with a little warm salt water is a good test. (1/2 measuring teaspoon to a cup of warm water.) If that relieves it then it’s likely the irritation was caused by sinus drainage down the back of your throat. Drainage can be very irritating but hardly noticeable. It can creep up on you.

Yellow mucous or clumps are a sure sign or symptom of a sinus infection. Some of the other symptoms include pressure or even pain in the forehead, cheeks or nose, or a headache behind the forehead or on top of the head on the side. A toothache could actually be a sinus ache. Congestion of course. You might notice your sense of smell is off. You may notice you have bad breath or halitosis. You may notice more crusty stuff in your nose than usual.

You can generally get sinus pain relief and rid of an infection in a few days with the proper home sinus remedies or treatment. You want to use natural sinus care and not try to cure it with drugs, medicines or sinus medications that carry side effects and risks. Recent studies show that antibiotics are not likely to help, especially since most of the infections are not caused by bacteria. Yes, there is a lot you can do at home to get rid of your sinus infection and cure yourself.

If you’re wondering, will I lose weight on a raw food diet, let me tell you it’s the best, easiest and most healthy way to diet. I lost weight when I went on a raw diet ten years ago, after a breast cancer diagnosis, and cured myself. All my other health issues and health problems went away also – arthritis and fibromyalgia among others.

I lost the pounds in just a few days. It was fast and easy. Of course, I wasn’t eating a raw diet to lose weight but to boost my immune system to fight breast cancer. Therefore, the weight loss was a side benefit and a great one at that.

Raw foods are made up of raw fruits, raw vegetables, raw nuts and raw seeds. Foods that are alive, not dead like those that are cooked. Raw meat is usually not considered on this diet and is not a healthy choice for many reasons.

Living foods are alive and contain enzymes, phytonutrients, vitamins, minerals, a lot of fiber and are very filling if you eat enough of them. Eating just one or two fruits for a total breakfast is not enough; I eat several fruits for breakfast. Lunch can be more fruits, salads or some great raw entrees using raw recipes. Sunflower seed pate is one of my favorites. But there are many choices.

Dinner can consist of a huge salad. A huge salad can be very filling. I’m never hungry and eat a lot of fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds to maintain my weight. I don’t want to lose any weight now and eat a lot to keep it on. Therefore, weight gain is never a concern for me nor for most of the people I know who eat predominately raw.

The health benefits of a living diet are many. Most people who start on a living diet find that many of their health issues just disappear. It’s a natural detox diet too and cleanses the liver. I, along with others who eat raw, have a lot more energy, sleep well at night and for fewer hours. I’ve only seemed to need five hours a night or so for the past ten years. I never catch colds or get the flu. So besides losing weight, eating foods that are alive offers many health benefits.

If weight loss is important to you, why not try raw foods? It’s a good lifetime diet that is easy to follow, because you make it up yourself. There are many helpful guidelines but ultimately you choose what you want to eat. There are no diet plans or programs to buy. Eating this way is cheap too. There are lots of ways to save money on fruits and veggies. Organic is always best though. Therefore, to answer the question will I lose weight on a raw food diet? The answer is yes!

For my raw food diet cure and secrets – how I used it to help cure my breast cancer, arthritis, fibromyalgia, acid reflux, digestive & sleep issues, headaches, pain, weight loss, etc. see a nurse/raw food expert’s http://www.RawFoodDietCure.com and my easy raw food recipes http://www.RecipesRaw.com

I’ve seen many people suffer needlessly from eye pain. They often think it’s caused by spending too much time on their computers or from eyestrain or other reasons. They worry about brain tumors, brain cancer, glaucoma, eye diseases and many other ailments. Some have even undergone MRI’s and multiple eye tests and exams to see if their pain is caused by the eye only to find out it’s because of sinus problems or sinus infections.

Yes, many people who’ve been suffering from either left eye pain or right eye pain have discovered that their eye pain or pressure is actually caused by their sinuses. Of course, you may want to have your doctor rule out your sinuses as the problem if it’s ongoing. And especially if it doesn’t clear up by any natural means you use to get rid of any sinus infection or sinus pressure you may have.

Simple allergies can cause a swelling of the sinuses from dust, pollen, smoke, dust mites and many other irritants. Or, of course, you can have a full-blown sinus infection and not know it and that can cause pressure in your left eye or right eye and may make it feel like it’s swollen.

Sinusitis is an inflammation of the paranasal sinuses. This can be a result of a sinus infection. Sinus infections can be bacterial, fungal, viral, allergic or from autoimmune diseases. However, it appears in some studies that the majority are caused by fungus, which is mold.

So pain or pressure in your left or right eye could be due to a swelling of the maxillary sinuses. This can cause pain, pressure, or both in the cheek area around your eye or even behind your eye and may give you a headache or toothache.

You may not have connected your eye pain to your sinuses. Perhaps you have an inflammation or infection in the sinuses now and don’t know it. There are some easy home remedies you can use to determine if you have a sinus problem or sinus infection.

You may want to explore this first before you worry too much about having a serious eye problem. Relieving your sinus problems quickly may reduce the pressure on your eye and give you some pain relief. With the hours everyone is spending on his or her computer these days, it’s easy also to think that you have eyestrain. So eliminate the sinus problem or sinus infection and see if that reduces the pressure and eye pain. Use natural home remedies first. No drugs or medications though.
